Privacy policy

1. Privacy Policy

Daiichi Holdings Co., Ltd. (including its group companies: Daiichi Corporation, Miraiku Co., Ltd., Miraiku International Co., Ltd., Live Corporation, ReLife Co., Ltd. and Miraiku Little Hands JSC; hereinafter collectively called “Company”) provides a wide variety of services. Company receives and retains information of its customers (hereinafter called “User”) in order to continue proving the services to User.
Company fully understands that the personal information received by Company is an important asset of User. Company strives to properly manage and protect User’s personal information in accordance with the “Privacy Policy” set forth herein, responding to User’s trust and expectation.

2. Acquisition of Personal Information

The “personal information” set forth in this document means information on a living individual that is personally identifiable by the use of the information acquired by Company relating to such individual (name, date of birth, address and phone number, etc.).

Company acquires the personal information by legal and fair means.
Company does not acquire the personal information of User by fraudulent or other illicit means.
Company uses the personal information of User only for the “Purposes of Use” set forth below.

3. Security Measures

Company takes necessary security measures to prevent unauthorized access to, loss, destruction, falsification or leakage, etc. of the personal information handled by Company.

4. Handling of Personal Information

Company announces the following matters relating to its handling of the personal information.

4.1 Purposes of Use

(1)
Personal information acquired by Company in providing its services to User
Company uses the personal information for performance of its rights or obligations or for improvement or notification of its services to User.
(2)
Personal information acquired by Company in responding to inquiries from User
Company uses the personal information for confirmation of the details of such inquiries or for response to such inquiries.
(3)
Personal information acquired by Company in performing its sales activities, etc.
Company uses the personal information for business communication or for performance of its rights or obligations in relation to its business transactions.
(4)
Personal information of Company’s employees, retired or resigned employees or applicants for employment
Company uses the personal information for employment, human resources management, labor management or recruitment.
(5)
Personal information acquired by Company after obtaining User’s consent to the purposes of use clarified by Company
Company uses the personal information for such purposes of use.

However, in any of the following cases, Company may use the personal information of User without obtaining prior consent of such User.

(a)
If a notification of the purposes of uses to User or an announcement of such purposes may cause any damage to the life, body, properties or other rights or interests of such User or a third party;
(b)
If a notification of the purposes of uses to User or an announcement of such purposes may cause any damage to the life, body, properties or other rights or interests of such User or a third party;
(c)
If Company is required to cooperate with any government or local government agency which performs statutory services and if a notification of the purposes of use to User or an announcement of such purposes may interfere with such performance; or
(d)
If Company considers that the purposes of use are obvious from the viewpoint of the situation of acquisition of the personal information.

4.2 Provision to Third Parties

Company does not provide third parties (including the parties outside Japan) with the personal information acquired from User without obtaining prior consent of such User, except in any of the following cases where Company needs to provide it to third parties without such consent.

(1)
If Company entrusts third parties to handle all or any part of the personal information within the scope necessary for Company to achieve the purposes of use;
(2)
If Company provides the personal information to third parties due to its merger or its business succession caused by other events;
(3)
If Company is required to cooperate with any government or local government agency which performs statutory services or any persons entrusted by such agency to perform them; or
(4)
If Company is permitted by the applicable laws and regulations relating to the protection of personal information to provide the personal information to third parties.

4.3 Shared Use among Group Companies of Company

Any group company of Company shares and uses the personal information of User with other group companies set forth below in order to respond to User’s needs promptly and appropriately and to provide User with higher-quality services. Company’s Group strives to strictly handle the personal information of User in sharing and using it in the Group and to maintain the accuracy and confidentiality of such personal information.

Items of the personal information for shared use:
Any group company uses the personal information of User acquired by it or by other group companies (name, e-mail address, phone number and address, etc.) to the minimum extent necessary for it to perform any of the services set forth in the following (2).
(2)
Purposes of use of the personal information to be shared:
  • (a) Notification of the services or products to User for promotion;
  • (b) Quality control or provision or receipt of support in relation to the services or products;
  • (c) Implementation or management of questionnaires, events or campaigns, etc.; or
  • (d) Response to inquiries, requests for materials or other requests, etc. from User.

Methods of acquisition of the personal information
Each group company acquires it in its sales activities or responses to inquiries from User.

5. Procedures of Request for Disclosure, etc.

If User requests Company to disclose, correct or suspend the use of his/her personal information, Company makes efforts to respond to such request properly and promptly after confirming the identity of such User. Please note in advance that Company requests User to present or submit his/her identification documents (driver’s license or passport, etc.) to confirm his/her identity in relation to such request for disclosure, etc. Company responds to the request within a reasonable period of time after confirming that such User has made such request.

  • ・ Disclosure
  • ・ Notification of purposes of use
  • ・ Correction, addition or deletion; or
  • ・ Suspension of use, erasure or suspension of provision to third parties (if the personal information is used for any purpose other than the purposes of use set forth herein).

Flow of request for disclosure, etc.:
  • (i)   User makes an inquiry to Company about the request for disclosure, etc. by clicking the URL specified in the following (3).
  • (ii)  Company notifies User of the procedures of such request by e-mail or phone.
  • (iii) User conducts the procedures in accordance with such notice from Company.

For smooth procedures, User is encouraged to describe an “inquiry about the request for disclosure” in the entry column for the “content of inquiry” after filling out an inquiry form.

Note:
  • ・User is required to present or submit to Company his/her identification documents in making a request for disclosure, etc.
  • ・Company charges User 700 Japanese Yen per request for disclosure, etc. as a service fee.
  • ・Company discloses the information only by electronic records via e-mail or in writing.
  • ・Company uses the personal information acquired from User in responding to the request for disclosure, etc. only for the procedures relating to such request.
  • ・Reasons for non-disclosure: Regarding any request for disclosure, etc., in any of the following cases, Company does not disclose the information to User. If Company determines that the information should not or may not be disclosed, Company notifies User of such non-disclosure. Even in the case of non-disclosure, Company charges User a prescribed service fee.
(a)
If Company may not confirm the identity of User due to any inconsistency between the address written in the request form and the address written in the identification documents of User or in the confirmation document for qualification of User’s agent or due to other reasons;
(b)
If the request form entered by User is incomplete or deficient;
(c)
If the information requested by User does not fall under the (possessed) personal data;
(d)
If the disclosure may cause any damage to the life, body, properties or other rights or interests of User or a third party;
(e)
If the disclosure may significantly interfere with Company’s proper operation; or
(f)
If the disclosure is prohibited by or breaches any applicable laws or regulations.
