Our efforts toward SDGs

Our idea

SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) must literally be sustainable efforts. We work on those goals through activities within our business domain. Our management philosophy is “Bring wealth and prosperity to your life.” All corporate activities are carried out to realize a wealthy and prosperous life for customers, local residents, business partners, employees and their families. The SDGs at our company are the activities themselves that realize our management philosophy, and we believe that the efforts of the SDGs will continue as long as the value of our existence is recognized by society.

In preparation for regional support during disasters, we are working in cooperation with local governments. We have concluded an agreement on “Cooperation for the Provision of Facilities and Other Resources during Disasters” with Sakado City, Saitama Prefecture, covering our Bushu-Nagase, Sakado 1000, and Sakado Nissai stores. The agreement includes a reporting system for support availability and acceptance status, aiming to achieve highly effective disaster response. Food Education Activities Contributing to Food Loss Reduction

We utilize non-standard vegetables ? those that fail to meet shipping criteria at farms and would otherwise be discarded ? in our food education activities. Through hands-on experiences with ingredients that have no quality issues despite not conforming to standards in appearance or size, we nurture children’s interest in and appreciation for food, even though we do not serve them as meals.

Proactive Initiatives at Our Facilities

In addition to the activities listed above, each business organization independently engages in various activities. At our company, SDGs represent the very activities that realize our corporate philosophy. As a result, many activities carried out independently by each business organization correspond to SDGs activities. Here, we introduce one example.

3 すべての人に健康と福祉を 10 人や国の不平等をなくそう 11 住み続けられるまちづくりを 12 つくる責任 つかう責任 14 海の豊かさを守ろう
  • ・Collection of PET bottle caps
  • ・Used Clothing Exchange Event
  • ・Litter Picking Activities
These small activities at our nurseries can influence not only the children in our care but also parents and the local community, potentially leading to a step toward broader societal impact. We will continue to earnestly engage in our business and naturally contribute to the SDGs.
